I'm about to send a batch of interview questions to Kerby Scott*, anyone got any questions they want answered about this awesome mid-Atlantic legend's tv/radio career? His 60's "Bandstand" type tv show featured TONSA g45 faves
The Living End's "Sheep" is an absolute all time fave psych-garage blast, can't highly recommend that record enuff, the band really did, imho, have their own sound and approach to psych rock. Thatt rules that DiVenus was based in The Bronx too
The Birdwatchers actually formed in 1960 as the Apollos (the guys on GLO and Mercury) and changed their name to sound more British in 1964. Only two of the originals stuck around by the time of "Girl I Got News For You". Sammy came over from the Mor-Loks, (on Loks & Living Legend), Joey came from the Busy Signals (the band on Marina) , and Jerry came from the Legends (the "Alright" group.)Just found a folder of photos on an external drive & since none of the links for any of these are still active I'm reposting them:
