Great. Haven't heard that in a long time...

Not only this thread, but the whole forum seems to die out recently. Is everybody wandering off to facebook, or what's going on?
Or has everything been said about 60s garage punk???

Everyone's probably enjoying the summer with a tall glass of lager and a Pebbles LP...or not.

(As for the Rockin' Roadrunners, my second guess is a vocoder?)
 
Well, actually I know of some people who wandered off to facebook. Some even closed down fabulous blogs and prefer to communicate through fb.
Facebook can be fun, and it's probably a nice spot to socialize and exchange information. But it's very quick and shallow in a way.
I miss the intensity of the good ole G45central. The way it used to be...
 
The intensity of garagepunkdotcom was even greater because of the diversity!

This forum has always been a bit more serious-y, a bit more dry-ish and a bit more informationesque.
Like your average conversation with yer colonoscopist at the annual check-up.
I bet that intimidates some lurkers, so I try to lower the bar with my unpretentious uninformed babble.

My tip is that you take charge of this summer's postings, Axel! One thing I'd like to see is a definate list of the best Texas garage punk tracks!!

I'm definitely enjoying summer, beer & 60s punk.

Oh no, I definitely do not want to be in charge here. I'm afraid some of the more "serious" members were annoyed by my own unpretentious, uninformed babble in the past. There were lots of serious people here I really miss... seriously!

That to my ears is an echoed Jaw Harp / Jews Harp / Mouth Bow whatever you wanna call them things in the intro and through out? You gotta think the easiest, cheapest and most effective way. Fuck buying a fancy and expensive wah wah lets boing boing on that piece of metal... Sounds exactly the same anyway.... ?
