Out next month. Sounds yummy indeed.

EVIL - From A Curbstone / Short Life (Florida Archive Recordings F.A.R. 6601) 7" 45 RPM

Monster previously '66 Miami, Florida Punk doubledecker by pals of The Montells! Both sides were inked by the band, and play at over 200mph! A super wild raving dynamite record with an evil bursting sound that was long thought to be lost! It sounds more explosive, and more Punk than The Stooges with Iggy Pop! Maybe you've heard of their other records, I'm Movin' On, I Know I'll Die, Always Running Around, and Whatcha Gonna Do About it, well this one is even faster and wilder! A perfect record for fans of The Pretty Things, The Montells, The Fairies, The Downliners Sect, the Back From The Grave series, the Stones, Them, etc.
An all official top quality release, with linernotes by Jeff Lemlich on the backcover! Limited to 500 copies only!

nice! and how does one go about getting one of these? will they be available through any distributors/mailorders in the US or just direct?

Wow, I finally got this and I have to say it's the most exciting thing I've heard all year!
I'd give it a 9/8 - some of you will probably say that's a bit generous, but hey, I'm excited!
So if anyone's not bought this yet - DO!! It's a 2-sided killer.

Thanks to Rolf for yet another fantastic release, you should all get his 2 new Sauterelles 45's as well.
Plus the Ray Hummel III repro, which sounds and looks amazing.

Also, be sure to check out the limited new re-release of the same 45 on yellow vinyl from Feathered Apple! This time around it's been properly re-mastered and cleaned up by legendary sound-engineer Eroc (Yardbirds, Pretty Things, Downliners Sect, Stones, Beatles, etc), and plays perfectly (and mucho LOUD!!!), with none of the acetate-noise left. There's also a new remastered copy in the works of "I'm Movin' On/I Know I'll Die" from the same people. Just sayin'.

Cool!
Feathered Apple are also releasing an LP by 'legendary' Vardø (Norway) band, the Zaks, which I'm very much looking forward to. I've always loved this song:

Yeah, as a matter of fact I'm helping out a lil' bit on that release (I live very close to Vardø). Their unreleased stuff are really mind-blowing, and can best be compared to a grungy Justice or Green Fuz-offering with only original first-rate songs!

"Aw, gawrssh, Mickey"! I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a genius, I'm just "Disco-music challenged", that's all! Hahaha!!! Jokes aside, the real geniuses here are the ones that made the music...and Rolf for making it all happen. But thanks for the compliment. Your review of this previously thought-to-be-extinct animal as "A FROTHING PULSATING STEAMING BEAST" is the best description I've heard thus far, and I'll be sure to forward it to singer/songwriter John Doyle. I'm certain he will be pleased to no end! Cheers, Mikael!

The Zaks-album is now OUT!!! Liners by yours truly, and we're very close to already having sold out the first press only one week after the release, before we even had a chance to start promoting it! Get your copy from Feathered Apple Records NOW, before its too late!
