Most bizarre LP cover (that wasn't intended as a joke) .

No wonder I always see copies of There's a War Going On, but never this.

This is the somewhat harder to find album by the Rainbow Press. Does anyone know the story behind this band and are there any pictures of them?
Also any good reissues? It took me quite a few hours to digitally clean up both of their albums (well worth it).

Anybody else remember the classic review of this LP in Greg Prevost's old Future magazine?

I don't, but confess that I just did an on line search (but came up empty handed).
In the 80's, I worked at a used record store. This LP came in a lot, but I don't recall selling a copy.
Any chance of a link to his review?

One of the odder tunes I own on vinyl is The A-Go-Go From The River Kwai. It's the whistling tune from the movie of the same name about WWII prisoners of war working on the Thai-Burma 'death railway', but set to an A-go-go beat. My copy is a pirate record on the appropriately named Copicat label. The record gives no clue of the recording artist but I just came across it today. It's the Man Chau Po Orchestra, probably from Hong Kong. The cover has absolutely nothing to do with the title song

it's totally DIY, in a bad way.

printed with a needle printer, then colored with felt pen.

extra credits for that ugly box and the effort of moving one head in front of it by drawing it by hand on the whole mess.

I definitely stumbled across an interview with the main songwriter from this band on either It's Psychedelic Baby or Beyond The Beat Generation. I'll try to dig that interview up and link it here. Their stuff is great and both albums have been reissued
