according to the comp database on the Ugly Things site, at least as far as garage punk compilations are concerned, The Nomads and The Strangers are #1, followed by the Mods and The Jaguars. The Fugitives are #3.

I agree. Together with The Nomads, seems to be the most common name. At least to me.

A sub set of this would be, what name is there the most variations of, for instance it's amazing how many version of Changing Times there is - Changin' Times, Changing Tymes, etc, just wait for TBM!
