That doesn't jibe with what I just looked up on the USPS site.
Check out the price increases according to their spreadsheet.
FCPIS - First Class Parcel International Services (retail and commercial) shows about the same amounts for up to 8 ounces with the same jump above 8 up to 2 pounds.

https://pe.usps.com/pricechange/index
can't open any of those links. So what will be the price for a 45 from the u.s. to the u.k. for up to 8 ounces? and what will be the price for an lp up to 2 lbs.?

Verified...$14 to send a 45 to the U. K.
Verified...$63.85 to send a rare LP to the U.K. by USPS Priority Mail International (must use this method when using Shipsaver Insurance for any item that sells for over $1000)

4 lbs 1st class is now $51.50!

even one ounce over 4 lbs has to go Priority which jumps it up to $68.30!

stamps.com (with subscription), ebay or discogs can make it a few $ cheaper but not much.

The USPS thinks it's OK to overcharge customers overseas. But really, every US citizen who sells online is being screwed because of lost sales.

I order alot of cd/dvd/blu-ray box sets from Amazon u.k. and it's less than $6 for shipping to California. For a heavy box set!!!

With this latest postage increase I pretty much throw in in regards to my willingness to sell most any item under USD $50.00 that might attract an international (outside US) potential buyer. Which would characterize a fair amount of what I've sold over the past few years... i.e. plenty of $25 - $40 items, a sweet spot of sorts. US buyers do not seem to go for my items, though European collectors have in droves. But forget about offering a $25.00 record with a + 60% postage premium, + the usurious customs charges often assessed to certain European countries. Half as nice at twice the price...

Simply not worth the hassle of listing it, especially with the pernicious tendency of an ever increasing coterie of international buyers to complain en masse regarding ANY perceived deficiency in the acquired treasure in a bid to wrangle a discount owing to ebay / paypal protocols skewed to the buyer. Knowing that the seller would have to eat the postage back & forth...

'twas OK for a while, but currently much less worth the effort.

I've been selling a large jazz collection over the past year, which included a bout a 1000 CDs I've been listing on Discogs.
Every so often I will get someone from Europe or Asia who balks at the $14 shipping charge, but most seem to have accepted it that is what they're going to have to pay to get something. There have been dozens of buyers who've bought a CD for anywhere from $7 to $12 (and also ones higher) paying more for shipping than the disc itself.
I've found where they start to get more cautious is making multiple orders that will go over 2 pounds. Where the shipping goes up for about $23 to $35. I've had one Australian buyer make repeated orders, each time checking out the weight of the package until it came close to that weight.

To top it all off, eBay First Class International labels aren't printing, I had to go to the USPS website to print the labels (and lose the meager discount I get)
No mention from eBay how long they're going to take to fix it.

WEIRD...I'm on the phone right now with ebay because it won't let me print a 1st class intl label...paypal shipping wouldn't work either.

They say in a eBay for Business Facebook post that they're aware of the problem and they're working on it (but it's been going on for 12 hours or longer)
Of course there's no mention of the problem on their System Announcement board. They knew weeks in advance about the shipping increases but still weren't ready.
