I've always kind of wanted to ask that question. What do other record collectors do, with collections of up to 5000 to 12000 records I would imagine a hefty insurance fee or is it covered with renters or owners insurance?

Killer record collection.... just wondering??? have you guys with monsterous 45 collections insured??? or if the worst was to happen know someone who you can entrust the records too??

grim question I know, but I am curious???

I'm not big on insurance. I prefer to spend the money on making sure the records are safe in the first place. In general I regard money spent on 45s as "gone", not "invested".
