Although the one EP from Paul RT and The Rocking Skippers appears on a Malaysian label, The Rocking Skippers also released an EP of instrumental tracks on a Singapore label, and I understand that that was where they came from.

The EP appears on YouTube in its entirety, but the poster there has rearranged the tracking order so that the first tune that appears is a country and western song by Lefty Frizzell. That would probably discourage many people from exploring further. There is also an Everly Brothers’ song and a pretty good version of Dylan’s ‘Blowing In The Wind’, but the best track by far is the original ‘Baby Be Mine’, which the liner notes state was written by Ricky PT. From comments on YouTube, it seems that Paul RT and Ricky PT are the same person: Ricky Tan.

Thanks to Bård for putting the song online:

It's great. Reminds me slightly of "I Ain't No Miracle Worker" style (in parts). Then it goes off in a more pop direction until the wild lead break

lovin this pic sleeve, so many southeast Asian records have incredible psychedelic pic sleeves regardless of the music they contain.

The only country/region that comparatively equals the mind blowing graphic design awesomeness of s.e. Asia, is BeneLux...

Hell, now i might even start up a thread of fave BeneLux 45 pic sleeves/l.p. covers (and if anyone wants to just start that now without me go for it! i'll join in later for sure)
