In 1964, while serving in the Navy overseas, Travis Edward Pike, in his off-duty hours, booked as “Teddy, Die Twistsensation aus USA”, fronted the German-Italian rock group, The Five Beats, who won a major Battle of the Bands in Northern Germany in March, 1965. Unfortunately, Travis had been in an auto accident in 1964 and was, at that time, in Chelsea Naval Hospital, recovering from bone-graft surgery. During what became a lengthy convalescence, he made a guest appearance with a Natick High School band, where his father, independent filmmaker James A. Pike, saw Travis perform for the first time, and hearing the excited screams from that high school audience, decided to make FEELIN’ GOOD, starring Travis and featuring 10 of his original songs. In October, 1966, James A.
