Problems posting on G45central

This week there have been 2 members who have had difficulties posting anything on the forums. I don't know why it's happening, but both of the members had the same kind of problem, described as an inability to post anything at all even after logging in. Unfortunately this means they couldn't even send a PM (private message) via the forum.

If you're having problems and need to contact me via PM, please use a browser other than Google Chrome to log into G45central.
 
The problem is definitely caused by Google Chrome. So far, all other browsers seem to be working ok. I downloaded and installed Google Chrome this morning, and as soon as I started using it, I couldn't post on the forum any more. I changed back to Internet Explorer, and everything was fine. Also fine on Safari.

I'll try to find out the cause, but there may be nothing I can do except advise not to use Google Chrome until the problem is sorted out.
 
For Windows users having problems posting on G45central, I have been advised that Safari 5.1.7 (an older version) works perfectly right now. You can get that browser as a download option at the Apple website.

I'm planning an update of the forum software soon, which may fix all the current problems with various browsers (and introduce new problems no doubt!).

Explorer works on this site, but I am unable to quote a post in the reply. Safari 5.1.7 allows for all editing/posting options. As it's old and may have security issues, I maybe wouldn't recommend using it as your main browser.
