I wish more people would realize that if they are trying to sell a 45 with no on-line archived sale results that they are usually looking at a relatively inexpensive / realistic potential sale amount, and not the overhyped "killer unknown, never offered for sale" used car salesmen hype. Whenever I encounter such hype, I know the seller is trying to move a lemon, or playing the greed card.
The Purple Haze had at least two known / documented 45s on the Haze label. The 45 in question here was released in September, 1970. It was a borderline inclusion for TBM, based upon their 1st 45 which is more toward the garage sound, albeit two remake versions. I've seen the 2nd 45 priced anywhere from $30 to $75. Never liked it enough to buy it myself.
Said seller is also overhyping the Dedications 45 for a $500 price. Again, that is a $50-100 record, whether or not on-line sales show anything.
