Recreating old sixties comps

I prefer the real deal. These rekkids not only have SOUL but a few ghosts too. Found these yesterday along with others in a ancient trailer in the dusty little Central Cali town of Dos Palos. I'll hopefully drop a killer bomb on you guys tomorrow....

Lookin' good! What will come of that 45 you won some months ago? Rooftops, or sumpin like that.. I. Need. 2. HEAR!

OK, I'll try to keep adding new all day. I won't announce them on this forum so keep a look at my blog.
And as I said before leave suggestions and I'll try to revamp yer own favorite old comp.

Hugs n kisses

Just went to your site and it said: "Psychedelic Disaster Whirl"- posted 1 minute ago.
"Chosen Few" is a great choice, too! My copy at least has a strange hissing sound on all ts and ss and sssnares and sssnarles, too much treble...

I will need some time before I manage to download a few, so PLEASE keep em up there!
And please keep em coming. I appreciate your efforts very much!

Rooftops was on a 5 track LP and there are only 2 known copies. They never came with a cover. It now resides in a land far-far away. a land down-under some would say. 3 songs from the LP will be on a comp sometime in the next year or 5...

I thought the next thing you would do is throw a bomb. I'm still under shelter...

Just wanted to let you know how much I am totally diggin' your blog. Someone mentioned the Highs of the Mid-60s comps - I definitely second that emotion. I have a pretty large collection of garage mp3's, including all of the Gyro 66 comps, so if there is anything you need help with, please feel free to send me a private message.

Lee, great to read fresh news about your comp addiction.... you're not cured, that's good news ! ;)

Incidentally, I've slowly began working on a book devoted to the subject. Contacts taken with the (still alive) superior minds behind the most mythical comps, let's see how this turns out, probably not before 2056... Comps are the reflections of the rediscovery of a genre, they're real pieces of the garage history as much as the original 7''s comped. Truely fascinating artefacts actually, they deserve a lot more attention than what they considered for on this list !

When you recompile Pebbles Volume 5, why not add a personal signature by replacing Magi Sabbath with something that fits better with the other 16 killer garage tunes? Maybe The Sound Barrier "(My) Baby's Gone", or Dr. Spec's Optical Illusion "She's The One", or Bad Roads "Blue Girl"...

bosshoss: Sadistically revisionistic. I love it! (I thought of replacing thee wyld main-iacs on the chosen few but couldn't go thru with it..)

sylvain: GREAT news!!! and great to see you still hang in around these parts of the web! :)

I'd sure appreciate if some kind soul could supply me with a decent sounding Come On (If You Can) by Gentlemen - bosshoss excluded. He should get his rest and not get stirred up by all this ruckus.
