Republicans Garage...WHO KNEW!!!???

I've had this record for at least 10 years. Ignoring the party affiliation, this is one of worst conceived ideas for a promotional record ever....the voting age was 21 at the time and probably 90% of the bands demographic was not old enough!
Note how a couple of the older men are clearly looking at the girls.....

why has this sold twice recently for $200? tis neither good nor especially rare.

nice p/s though.

I picked up a dozen of these at a Political memorabilia convention years ago. Dribbled them out at $50 over the years. Wrote to the guys in the late 90's, but never heard from them. They played around the state with the Go-Go chicks and I look forward to finding a good photo of that.

There is also Paul Parker's "Rockin' for Goldwater" (Glenn 3201) but calling it garage is a stretch.

I wonder if that band knew a lot about the Indiana Repubs, or if they just were interested in winning a contest and getting to have a record pressed up?

I don't dig this at all.... the band don't even look happy on the cover.... the back cover looks like some hugely ill advised propaganda and you're right, the perverts at the front are checking out the prettier blonde from the group of teen girls.

WEIRD

Fun isn't allowed here - I wouldn't be too quick with an offer to trade.

They only allow Illegal aliens here. :( i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta herei gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta herei gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta herei gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta herei gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta herei gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here...i gotta get outta here
ALICE COOPER:confused:

To enliven the rather chilly and drab Indiana night, said beasts from the post above:
Senor Lam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj3xq14K2q8
Sir Winston: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw5ZRh-WmeY

Listening to We're Gonna Love through the tiny laptop speakers reminds me of a transistor radio's sound - that song screams. Sure would have been cool to have heard that pumped out over 50,000 watts of tube transmitter powered AM radio.

Note - the Sir Winston clip has been synched up to tv footage from their appearance on WLWI in '66 - guess we've had our moments of glory.
