Just received an email at 60sgaragebands.com informing me that Randy Alvey of The Green Fuz passed away. Another huge loss.

RIP Randy. We're all going to die, but few of us will have made a classic garage 45 along the way. Green Fuz is one of the best.

Very bad news. At least we at the G45 forum had a chance to talk to Randy about his music before this happened.
What did he say? Would you mind to put up a link here?
Sorry to hear about Randy's passing away.
But The Green Fuz is immortal!!!

Found this picture on the 60s garagebands site. Which one is Randy? Is there any picture from around the time when he recorded Green Fuz? I'm sure he didn't look the way his voice sounded...

Is it the man sitting in the armchair on the left? Does anyone have a picture of the band or Randy A. from the 60s? I always wondered what he looked like.

Unfortunately the search function doesn't work on the old forum. I looked at all the topics trying to find one that rang a bell, but no luck. I remember he just appeared out of nowhere using the name RandyAlvey. But that name is not in the member list of the old G45 forum, so maybe it was even earlier, in the days of the Psychotic Reactions forum at garagepunk.com..?

Thanks for trying to find the lost thread, Mark! It's a pity it's gone.

I searched the old Psychotic Reactions forum using google ("randy alvey" site:http://garagepunk.proboards.com/) and tried several work combos but didn't come up with anything interesting, just some mentions of the record.

Maybe Jeff Kopp has a backup of the database of the old Psychotic Reactions forum? It would have to be a backup from about a year before it ended, as many posts were already deleted by then.

Same with the old forum, if the old database is still around, that could be searched for text.

First photo from the '60s I've ever seen of the group. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much Bryan!
Could you answer some questions that have me puzzled?
Did Rudy Rendon sing on the Green Fuz record?
Is that a guitar he is holding in his right hand? and..
What are those strange lights on the floor?
