Rocky Teoh from Malaysia was an interesting character. Rather than repeating all I know about him here, you can check out the post about him on Garage Hangover. However, the claimed dates for Rocky’s recording career (1965-7) are obviously wrong, as the songs he covers on this EP date later than that:

Way back in 2017, I had this to say about this record:

“Rocky Teoh ep. Top, TOP 21001
I think this is one of Rocky’s last records, but I avoided it in the past because three of the four tracks are CCR covers and the title-track is ‘Bonnie & Clyde’; I mean the Georgie Fame song? Completism got the better of me, however, and it turns out it’s not Georgie Fame and it’s not Serge Gainsbourg either. The only mention of Bonnie and Clyde is ‘If you say you ever loved me, Bonnie and Clyde loved alone’. The chorus goes ‘Baby baby! Mumble mumble mumble …’ I can hardly make out a word, but I like it.”

Possibly, this is one of Rocky’s own songs, but I am pretty sure this is a cover. The question is, who did the original? Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks to Bård for providing links to this song and others I will put up shortly.
