The sudden appearance of stone mint copies of a rare 45 on eBay scares me. Especially with an even rarer sleeve. It would be nice to be assured by the seller that this is the only copy he knows about.

I'm willing to offer anyone who wants to let a copy go 10 times that value*.

A copy of this 45, with its picture sleeve, turned up on Discogs during the weekend from a seller called "VG_ALLIN", graded NM/NM and priced at $4500. It was up for less than 24 hours, it's not there anymore, so it either sold or the seller took it down again.

Saw the listing too. Quantity find plot thickening. Wrote to the seller and he replied he had been "sitting on this copy" and only the recent ebay sale prompted him to list. Not convinced.

When a disc sells for what some think as "big money", others who have a copy in their collection are tempted to sell for the same amount.
