Shipping non-ebay items

I don't think I can use Shipsaver for items I sell outside of ebay, correct? If that's the case, what's the best way to prevent problems with shipping internationally?

I think if you call the company that's owns Shipsaver you might be able to purchase insurance for non-ebay items. You can insure through the post office but then you would have to declare the item for the full amount and send it by Express mail, which the buyer won't like.
