Should I make a change to G45Central?

I've been thinking about making a change to the forum structure. Originally, the idea was for 2 forums, one for 60s garage (Country Club) and the other for everything else (The Way It Used To Be). However, over time it has really just turned out to be 2 identical forums handling virtually the same stuff. Which is ok, but a bit confusing for anyone new to G45Central.

What if we changed to one forum for the USA, and one forum for the rest of the world? Would that be better?

I'd like to hear opinions, and will take them into account. But I won't promise that the majority voice will win. Maybe the best argument should win.

I just always click the "what's new" section and read/browse through every thread. I never really pay much attention as to which forum I'm actually in. Of course I don't post new threads very often so perhaps it would be easier for people to categorize their subjects etc. I'm just happy that this place even exists! :)

there aren't that many non-us topics being discussed here. while splitting the forum in "USA" and "rest of the world" might be an adequate reflection of a popular political perspective in the US of A, it would ultimately result in one huge pile of threads here and a very small one there. I'd vote for a combined forum - a "country club as it used to be".

Seem most of the topics tend to revolve around US oriented themes, so I too would opt for a U.S. section, and a rest-of-the-world section. It would make it far easier to sort through older threads as well.

I like the one forum idea.
While my interest is primarily U.S. sounds, I do have interest in non-U.S. as well.
If there were two separate forums, I may not check the non-U.S. forum with the same thoroughness I would for the U.S. one and miss some topics I'd pick up on if they were together. I know that sounds a bit like laziness on my part (and maybe some of it is), but to me it would make it easier.
There are a fair number of threads here, but it's not so overwhelming that multiple forums (in this section) would make any real difference. The Country Club (as Greg says) would be fine.

BossHoss,

I don't think you need to make the distinction between USA and others. Garage is garage regardless of its location.

Maybe a focused U.S. '60s Garage section and an Everything Else ('50s, '70s, non-U.S.)? Which is pretty much what it is meant to be now...
