I've loved this comp for nearly 30 years, but have never really looked for other similar records. What 45's would you recommend to somebody into this sound?

I agree. There's something really unique about this LP. For other comps, I'd suggest "I Can Hear Raindrops" Or anything on the Lance/Lanze label.

Personally (though some may disagree) I find the below to be similar to "shut down 66" style.
