Skips with 2 gram tracking - plays fine with 1 gram tracking

Now here's the big bad on my side, I was so sure Idea was a 45 yet I can find nothing on that so called issue. My old age must be playing tricks on me. Speaking of old age I turned 62 today and would love it if some forum member out the kindness of his heart is willing to send me a top notch (maybe even remastered) wave file of Idea so I can fully enjoy it and sleep peacefully. How's that for groveling...

Which version? I know of two different label releases of "Pussy" with different flips.
I have the 'black label' version (not on Discogs?) and it always tracks like a champ.
I haven't seen one with a different flip.

This has dark blue ink for the "Pussy Galore" side, and black ink for "Curse of the Hearse". Deadwax is very different too:

Pussy Galore has Δ64294 and J-112-A-RE

Curse of the Hearse has smaller etchings: 50837 with maybe a small Δ in front of it, and 207A (I think, hard to make out).

I thought the Jico replacement stylus I have for the Shure M44 cart might be responsible, as I believe these have a slightly different width than the original Shure versions. I put on a brand new Shure stylus and it had the same skip, so I think there's some problem in the groove cutting.

Happy Birthday, Jim.
Hope you like this present.

This thread is going in several different directions!

Anyway, back to Idea. Here is my Thai pirate version. Maybe the only full version of the song on 7 inch?

Jim, I have sent you a PM
