Steve Smith (Knights Bridge) R.I.P.

"Make Me Some Love" a long time favourite ever since hearing it on Texas Flashbacks Volume 2 in 1987 via those Antar label releases....
 
I posted this one yesterday in the Texas garage thread.


From an old yearbook. That's Steve Smith in the back row, second from the left.


From a later incarnation of the Knight's Bridge. Tommy Whittington on the left. Steve Smith is middle right. Scott Schenkel, far right, was the drummer that came in the summer after the single was released. When photos of the Bridge turn up they are from yearbooks and it's usually him featured. He's been soooo helpful in helping me track down Odessa names and the history of the Bridge. Amazing memory.



This is Sweet Briar who had a couple of singles in the 70s. That is Steve Smith and his ever present Gibson SG on the left. The Gibson heard on the single was lost in a massive wreck in Big Spring on the way back from their recording session at Robin Hood Brians' Tyler studio.
