Long time lurker, occasional poster on the old board, etc, etc...

I found this record today at an estate sale in NJ:

Strangers - Old Man / In the Garden (Prompt Productions ARA-129/ARB-129)

It's clearly 1960s, but there's really no info on the labels other than the running times. Even the songwriter credits are just "(Strangers)". The matrix etchings are just the catalog number and a symbol that looks like 2 R's back-to-back and mirror-imaged (if that makes any sense.) I didn't post in the Country Club sub-board because this is not a garage record. I'd describe it as pop-psych, but there's a horn section that unfortunately dominates over the ocassional fuzz leads. Does anyone know this record? As far as I can tell it's totally undocumented online.

By the way, it was a good day for estate sales. I found the 40 Fingers single (see Ugly Things #31) at another sale.

Yes, I have this 45, I found my copy for $5 or so at a record show in Cranford, New Jersey, back in the mid 80s. I Might have details from copyright, will have to check.

Thanks. This was found not too far from there in Morristown, NJ. The 40 Fingers was found in Long Hill, NJ, about 12 miles from Springfield, where the band was from.
