Strypes

Utter greatness! But who's playing the tambourine in the first clip, I wonder...

Great guitar sound on the live recordings , but somehow they come over like prodigies with somebody ( a parent ? ) pulling the strings in the back . Like they don't seem to enjoy playing live much and all their coverversions are really well known songs .

it's pretty cool, even if it's hardly earth-shattering. some real talent here, let's see if they can come up with original songs. also, they already learned the first holy garage band rule (tm): "get some trees"

yeah, it's really a shame modern bands don't do group shots in trees any more. it's way cool. (and a bit corny).

You're being a bit harsh. I actually think it's pretty earth-shattering for a bunch of 13/14-year-olds to play this kind of music so great. I'm sure they'll start writing their own songs eventually, hopefully before they turn into a boring indie rock band. Which I'm sure they won't - I have faith in these kids.

If anything, that makes it as "authentic" 60s as it gets, no? A greedy parent hoping to make big bucks from pushing his kids to make it big... (The Shaggs, anyone?). However, I doubt that's the case here. Also bear in mind that if you're 13-14 these songs are hardly "well known". In fact, I believe a lot of those tunes would've been obscure to the ordinary teenager going to a high school dance in 1966 even.

The little guy, who seems to play bass, guitar and harmonica, is the real deal... if the band fades to grey, I have faith that this one kid will go onto much greater things, he understands the music really well.

I was watching these guys on Youtube and that one kid, is magical on the bass guitar.

I think it's somewhat great watching kids this young rocking out to 'My Generation' and playing it damn well... I hope they keep true and progress into a killer Beat Band.

In a weird way it reminds me of my old teen group at school before Youtube and videos... It was great seeing these kids.

thanks for sharing

i thought the same thing... the bass player is bad ass. check out the video that MTM posted on facebook, he's taking over lead duties on that one. pre-tty good. kid learned his screaming as well.
