Suppose I give a blog and no one comes

Hello, my name is Lee and I am new to this site. This is my first ever post and I have a question!

Is it OK to use info found in the TBM in my makeshift blog?
I'm thinking of constructing a blog for newcomers, with links to youtube.
Oh, and is it kosher to use BossHoss rips (in mp3) if a certain song can not be found on the YT?

The BossHoss tracks are for this forum. If you want to use those tracks so bad take the crappy sounding ones off youtube. Mark was nice enough to share these with this forum not the whole world! Just my 2 cents;)

Yeah, that was my guess too. I just thought that if you:
1. made it into an mp3
2. locked it into a youtube-video

the hungry wolves would judge it too problematic to snatch.

Lee, Just my 2 cents, but I think you should directly ask the parties involved if they would be so kind to allow the use of their efforts.

You may use TBM info on your blog, as long as you credit me / the book as the source of such information in or on your main blog page - or, have a notation after each entry as to the source. Whichever is easier.

Ok, cool! I will make it more clear from where I draw my info. :)
Right now there's just a link to the TBM site, but I'll polish that to get through a bit better on my main blog page.
Is there a link you'd like me to post where people can buy the book?

hmmm, didn't Evil spell with only capitals - EVIL? Or was it that they didn't call themselves The Evil..?

howz'is?

"Ya might wonder where I get all the nifty info as I swank along?
I snatched it from Mike Markesich's 30-years-in-the-making book TeenBeat Mayhem! It is still available for purchasing, something I strongly suggest you do."

Suppose no one has the album from Cicadelic Records....?

Solid way to go, methinks. If people want the sounds badly enough let them buy them, just like the rest of us are expected to do.

Except that it covers a very small amount of the 45s in question. Unfortunately. Was at Sounds That Swing in London recently and the shop was infested with bootleg 45s of garage classics. Should´ve called an exterminator.

I do see your point, Thomas. I was thinking strictly in terms of links to legitimate reissues. If people are dedicated enough they can, and will, seek out the gray area releases of their own accord.

David, I didn't see your request to use BH rips as part of your blog until today. I think it's ok for you to do that in mp3 format. Because your blog is of such excellent quality and I certainly want to help in any way possible.

Thanks for the blessing, sir! I would only use anything if it'd be absolutely necessary, which I trust it won't.
Thanks anyway. :)
