I've just finished the transposing portion of the TBM update project for entries listed A thru Z.
Completion of the entire project should be in 6 months time for free on-line viewing & download.

It will be a part of the new TBM website. Formerly on-line to promote and sell both books, pricelessinfopress.com will become a sideline link for anyone who still wishes to purchase a copy of TBM at a low clearance price. Beyond Teenbeat Mayhem has long since sold out and will not be reprinted or put up on line. Nor will TBM, only the listings and the Top 17,000 listings by ranking & songtitle.

Until then, I can post a link to download an alphabetical list of the corrected numeric ratings for groups / performers that appear in both books, if anyone is interested in marking / correcting their books.

I'm glad to read that Remains "Don't Look Back" is now rated at 9. I like "Why Do I Cry" but personally never thought that this song eclipsed everything else.

I'm sure the northern soul collectors were responsible for that upward movement. There was a youtube clip of them doing an unreleased number [live] which eclipsed everything they'd released, and I'm talking a by a full two stars. Unfortunately it was taken down years ago. Too wild for youtube obviously.

What was the basis of the re-ratings?

Only a small handful of songs were re-rated, perhaps 10-12 titles out of the entire posted list. This was done if:
there were two different tallies taken at different times due to oversight on my part, or,
not enough votes cast for a song - minimum participation is 8 members to cast a vote.

The vast majority of corrections are the result of using a javascript program to re-check & quickly tabulate results. It was created by my mathematician Ph.d friend. Wish I had it prior to printing both books!

Well, it was always a 9 but shown in the book incorrectly as an 8 due to my faulty math. The votes were not re-done, or altered from the original tally result.

You will soon see the decimal rating for this and all other songs. That should stoke the flames for some bickering 'n' bantering...

I think I found another correction in the alphabetical section for the Loners as the title should be "Insight Out'' instead of ''Inside out''.
