tbm worthy?

Well, at least the guys. The girls are a vast improvement.

The UK Mods of the 60s had much better taste in music.

Mods...bleh. Please don't associate my musical misgivings to this lot. There's no one to blame but myself!

More fodder for the fire:

Another from Waynsboro, VA! Frantic white boy rhythm and blues with a country twang. I believe I've found Mr. Knous and I'm hoping to find out who the backing group is. Purely an educated guess, but I believe it's The Weekenders who put out a 45 just a few numbers prior to this.

My notes say no go on the Knous 45 (auditioned in 1998 had a chance to buy a few mint copies at $10 each), and no on the Fabulous Shadows (spun over the phone by a dealer in 2003). I wasn't keeping track of descriptions back then so I don 't remember sonic details.
Never heard the Dickie Dee single.

This band was from Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. I haven't played it awhile but I remember it is a listenable PNW R&Bish thing. A couple of the band members were in Mount Rushmore (on Dot)

Maybe recorded in Ohio? I know I saw something placing it there....Good to know!

It was recorded at Sound Recording in Spokane, WA and uses their custom numbering series (the operation had their own pressing plant). The number would put it around the spring of 1965.

Wow, that Dickey Dee is a trainwreck. It's like a mixture of ketchup and lemon sherbert.

Martin Martin is Canadian, so automatically out of the USA discography listing. Decent 3 TBM rating / average record, hardly exciting to my ears. The comments on youtube make it seem like the 45 is the end all

There' lots of "mod DJ fodder" in TBM though. Stumbled across the Martin Martin tune today, didn't know it was Canadian. Thought it was worth a mention. Oh well!

Song is okay. Pretty fair guitar sound; liked the laid back crooning vocal. Maybe a 5 on the psychometer.
However, I'd give the brunette at 0:25 & 0:40 an 8 or 9 for titty shaking.
