And imho 'Noise' is definitely the better of the two newly unearthed sides

Rather than dig up the old Rip It Up RI thread, I'll lump it in with the Basement Walls here. It's been nearly 2.5 years since I did a Rip It Update, but this one was worth the wait. For those familiar with 70s/80s powerpop artist Roger C. Reale, here's his high school band The Specters!

Fantastic! Plus that bottom pic has a real Sonics vibe to it. Question though, three different acetate pressings? What the? They must sound different, have you heard each one?

Yeah, nobody remembered the story with the different pressings/labels. Bizarre! It was only recorded one time in Providence. I have the two bottom ones and they're the same takes, though one of them has worse fidelity (or make that even worse fidelity). Roger has the NE Recording Studios copy but I believe the sound was cleaned up digitally before sent to me.

Chuck & I worked in the same record shop in the mid 1970s. He was always a great guy & I'm glad to see his early work come to light.
