Hi, I found a copy of this a few days ago in Spokane,wa and am totally loving it. Seems like there isn't too much of a web presence about this single an I wondered if you guys know much about it. I found the article on garage hangover about the band, but no mention of this single on this site or on any lists. "I'm so alone" is top notch moody garage so I'm assuming people must be on to it. I'll probably keep this 45, but does someone know its value?

Not trying to be rude, but...

Was not your question answered elsewhere by someone who happens to be a forum member here as well?

I didn't know he was, but I don't see the harm in asking on a board were folks specialize in garage 45s. When I previously found a rarer garage 45 in the past I ended up getting more info, and a better idea of its worth was, from users on this site.

Both songs on this single have been known for a long time. "Taxi" is on a volume of Garage Punk Unknowns.
"I'm So Alone" is on a volume of Teenage Shutdown; the Chargers appear on the cover of the compilation.
Garage Hangover has a complete capsule history of the group, however, the song clips which used to be up on the site have been removed.
Until the Aztecs Julian label single appeared in a small quantity, it was the rarest Julian label 45 in the garage category, now I would say the Chargers is the tuffest one to find. If you have a really clean (VG++) copy you should get around $700 without too much trouble

I've found a few copies of this over the years. I would probably guess it's more in the $400 range but I'm not paying attention nearly as much as MTM. This record has been known in the scene since the mid 1980s.
