The overview of the DelMarVa area 60's teen scene continues with yet another look at a band who created one of the best tracks on the '66 Baltimore's Teenbeat A Go Go album. "She'll be Mine" by The Del Prixs is pretty different than the rest of the album. It's a song that's primal,propulsive, and subtle all at once. FFO Johnny & The Nite Ryders on Perfection or The Del Prixs' mid-Atlantic neighbors The Rogues on Compass, or even the Flying Nun Records sound that came outta NZ in the 80's.

Unlike some of the other bands detailed in this series, The Del Prixs story is pretty typical by the standards of 60's teen garage rock and that's kinda why its awesome to remember them. The ingedients for an awesome unique song don't always come from a wild rock'n'roll life style and this is just more proof of that fact:
