I have someone asking for my expertise on Garage 45's for work. So I came here.:D As usual.

Some West Virginian turned up these 45s. they are not in MTM's - Teenbeat Mayhem!

first is from 1974 :icon_rolleyes: OK, I know it's not garage.

The first is by a group called “Free Delivery” on the Evco label. It is copyrighted in 1974 and distributed by Mo-Di Productions in Parkersburg. Both sides were written by Dick Hicks and Morris Bower and published by Mordick Music

The second looks so..... ah hum! Sexy :flipped:

The other is by a group, “The Fractions of Action” and the label is Psyched-Up. Only info is that it was produced by Charles Jordan, who also wrote the songs.

I "borrowed" this from Discogs which is the only on-line mention I can find-

Discog poster guesses 1967! "Flash! Headline News is a great uptempo Garage Soul Dancer, To Forget You is a Soul Ballad. I have guessed the year of release."

If anyone could help out with further info or even a sound sample of the Fractions of Action for my own personal curiosity. Thanks all.

Writer's name is Charles F. Jordan, Jr.
copyright July 26, 1966.
I'd have to look up the registration to identify the locale and copyright claimant.

I don't have the 45 logged in my Non-TBM worthy list, "No Dice".
Checked all of my old notes when i pawed through dozens of collections and I haven't found any notation.

a VG copy of Fractions sold on ebay last year for $56 and the seller called it soul.

Thanks Frantic, I found that one eventually also there was one spelled "The Fractions of Acton" in collectors frenzy sold at $26 in 2011
- Fractions Of Acton-Flash! Headline News/To Forget You (Psyched-Up no catalog #) Record is VG, rocker topside plays great, ballad flip a bit crackly and has writing on the label. Obscure & crude little Justice-style garage 45!

The label sure makes it look very cool. I asked the guy if he could send me a soundfile. The enquiry got forwarded to me via a board member at the Hall o' Fame.

Oh, and if you get the time ;) a locale would be great.

I know the guy selling that 45 on Discogs. He has a shop about 10 miles away. He doesn't always have his box of garage goodies in the shop, but I might try and get there this weekend, and if he has it there, I'll get him to give it a spin.
Unless someone bags it before then!

Good luck. ...but he might have it in a Soul box...

I have the guy sending me sound files sometime soon ...I hope.
