The Gargantuan Thread Of 60's Garage Seven-Inch Covers!!!

Awesome! I wonder if anyone here can suggest a truly solid Lollipops LP. Some of it is straight up kiddie-pop but I have two that you've posted above(without sleeves) and love'em. Also, concerning American pic sleeves, there were plenty made. My theory has always been that the paper they used was so thin that they just didn't last long in the hands of teenagers. American teens thought little of storing their records in sleeves by 1965, much less taking care of a pic sleeve. My first time in European record shops blew my mind. So yeah, heavier paper, some laminated too, and kids slightly less influenced by a disposable consumer mind-set.

Now feast on a satisfying selection of Danish pastries (Belgian pralines next)

A bit of overlap here, but also a few KrAzEd worthies not pictured above. DK definitely gets my vote as the Euro nation producing the highest percentage of Ultra Krude walloppers.

I don't know why, but it wasn't just the USA which had fewer sleeves. They were less common (except for ep's) in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. Best for picture sleeves was Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium the rest of the Euro continent and of course Japan.

Here is a small collection from Switzerland and Austria combined

The interesting thing is that Mark presented rare 45's. Here's a few personal faves not (more or less, haha) pictured above. No need to get too excited, the Dynamites EP PS is a repro. The orig. was extinct upon release...

I'm unwilling to let this die without a fight. So looky, a small display of mostly rare and mostly great German 45s with picture sleeves. You can't imagine how bright that Bats sleeve is (unless you've seen it). It's fluoro red ink, liberally applied to a matt paper stock.
The 5 Torquays are of course The Monks, before their name-change.

Manic addendum to elevate the above pictured gallery into rarified realms...

But you do have See you tonight, damn hard to find! Never seen a copy in Norway.

Envious of that Beat Sessions PS. I have 3 Beat Club 45s but no sleeves. I think they all originally came with one.

I'm only familiar with a few of the bands 45's. Can't say that I've ever even seen an LP. I agree the band released some great sides.

I´m betting Mr.Splendid has a pretty stellar Euro collection if he fired up his scanner! (hint hint)

Here's a fuzzy pic , imported all the way from that country next to Norway, of what are , for the most part, decidedly NON-fuzzy waxings. Annabee-Nox being the glaring exception, it may be the fuzziest 45 ever recorded by a band hailing from north of 59.4166° N, 18.3167° E

2nd best thing about the band may well be that their moniker is evidently a corruption of "artificial ice rink".

Yeah? Care to drop some names and songs, soundog? Me be curious.

Only slightly less consistent than Jacks Beat, (in the sense that several of the participants in any given recording session may actually have played their respective instrument prior to the red light being switched on) is Music Corner.
