The glass kans

Joey D may have put a gag order on the band. Just like he did with the Purple Virus.
But he never reissued them.
By the way, PURPLE VIRUS came out on Last Of The Garage Punk Unknowns because Tim asked Alec and I if he could use it. We said yes, but Alec wanted to put it on a Big Beat cd comp, that's why PURPLE VIRUS isn't on the cd version of LOTGPU. Tim also put the FATIGUES Rooftops on the same LP comp which we gave him permission to use which was dubbed from the LP I sold to the Boss. Law Of The Jungle was also recorded by the Boss for use on the LP. So there, no gag order man.

I tell you what, Mikael's gag order BS has really pissed me off so here ya go, the 1st ever PURPLE VIRUS photos plastered on the interweb. 45 came out in 1967 these pics are probably from '66. Deadly?.....YES:boggle:

Great pic, but this doesn't explain why Mike silenced the others. You had already negotiated with him
and the other didn't know about it. (Fair perhaps, coz I believe Mike owns the songs) Bosshoss wasn't even allowed
to post the labels.
I had a great email convo with Bill a couple of years back. He was just about to send me pics and possible
unissued stuff. He CC'd Mike in one email, and he completely vanished straight after, never to reply to any
mails or Facebook PM's ever since.

I have never talked to Mike Dwyer in my life. I left him a message and he hasn't called back. Bill Mcwood is the coolest guy. Has a acetate of his earlier band probably the Fender Benders and most likely a teen type track called My Little Girl. Possibly by pre Purple Virus band Powers Of Love.

When successful legal people get wind that artifact(s) from their past have potential monetary value, well, there is your reason.

Cool!

I believe that, but the comp with this stuff and other Bay Area stuff was announced 15 years ago. And since then people has even
been denied looking at the labels. Not a sign of the comp since then. The fact that this comp was going to be released was the reason
Bosshoss couldn't even post a pic of the PV record beforehand back then.

PS. I don't think the money means that much here though. Mike Dwyer is a hotshot lawyer and probably is rather wealthy.

dude, what is your problem? We were in touch with one of the owners of the D & C label but could never find the band until a few years ago, when Alec found out they were from San Francisco and not from San Mateo they no longer fit on the planned Penninsula comp but instead would need to be on a S.F. comp which needs more research to complete. In the meantime Tim Warren put it out on CRYPT.

Do you deny that you got Bosshoss to take down the labels shots?

Alec found out they were from San Francisco and not from San Mateo
Come on now, I tracked the group location and posted it on the old Garage Punk forum in 2004 or so.
You must've known already back then.
San Mateo IS in the Bay Area right? Should've fit on a SF/Bay Area comp anyway (only 20 miles off)
But yeah, the band origin is Lowell High School, San Francisco

NO, Alec doesn't work like that. Each little area in the Bay Area had it's own sound in the 6ts and If you knew Alec like I know Alec, you would know that each and every project he works on has to be perfect no matter how long it takes. And instead of bitching and moaning why don't you do a little research on the myriad projects he's worked on and discover how cool and awesome each of them are!

Can't remember....Maybe...You sure try to bring out the worst in people.

Whut? This Purple Virus ridiculous circus is YOURS from the beginning. I happen to think this is a great platter
and deserves to be heard by the public, BOTH sides. I know it already, but for me it's cultural preservation.

PS. I'm not mad at ya. I respect you a lot. You have done so much great things for the "garage community" before.
Much more than nerdy moi for sure.

I may have had a hand in starting the circus but you've done everything you can to turn it into a full blown Ringling Bros. production.

I need to know the names of the band members for TopShelf Oldies Hi-Fi Party Monday night radio show, I do research for it.
