I'm listening in my browser, not on the app, and the beginning sounds all screwed up, like it jumps around. Gets better eventually, and yeah decent enough tune. Assuming the time frame is correct, sure TBM why not. A 3 or so.

I hear what you mean, but it sounds better from my own computer. However, I was told by an expert (Bosshoss) that it is because the record is warped and the tonearm is having trouble tracking it. It played better when i increased the weight to 3 grams.

Listened to this a few more times and it could be as high as a 4 or 5. Definite punky subject matter and the guitar, while not fuzzy at least has some attitude and there is somewhat of a solo. Overall it sounds a bit tinny and shrill which detracts a bit. Dating it is not easy though, any more info on the acetate?

It's new to my ears. I rate it 4.2, which means I like it!

It gets better with repeated listens. Definitely in the 4 to 5 range in my opinion.

It sounds like the Bootmen's 'Ain't it the truth babe', (or less so, a tame version of the Cobras' 'Instant heartache').

Which in turn derives from Bobby Bland's "Turn On Your Love Light" (bass line). But the lyric is significantly different - "When it comes to lovin' you just don't rate".
