A few cool pictures of The U.S. Male / The Male that released "You're Playing with Fire" / "Over My Head" on Quinvy Records:

Not to be confused with several other groups of the same name from the era, as the Quinvy 45 was their only release and they had already changed their name by that time. Apparently they received a cease and desist letter from another one of those groups (presumably the more well-known Michigan U.S. Male that recorded 3 45s, 2 on Special Delivery and 1 for MGM), hence the name change to "The Male," and eventually just "Male" as shown in the the last photo circa '71-72.

Credit goes to Vance Pollock for pulling these photos together on the Carolina Rock n' Roll Remembered page on Facebook. The same page claims that despite "You're Playing with Fire" being comped on the Psychedelic States - Alabama in the 60's Vol. 2, they apparently hailed from Cary, NC originally, and only recorded for Quinvy records in Alabama due to their managers's connections to Quin Ivy.

P.S. Does anyone have audio of "Over My Head" from the Quinvy 45 available? If so, I'd love to hear it!
