The missing USA Garage Greats volumes_NEW

Most of those free webspace sites contain a virus, trojan or come bundled with spam. Depending on your protection and your browser, it's usually something that will affect your computer.

The best options are to use a pay website, or create a dropbox account (something i use to share music files).
Dropbox is free - just create a folder, place the files in the folder, then choose with whom to share the files. You can even create a public folder. Anyone without a dropbox account can easily download files. The public folder is accessed via a link created by dropbox.

As for the Garage Greats series, I've given the history several times on the forum, you can search for details.
I used to bring 45s over to Gyro's place over the years, he'd record them onto CDs. A couple of other collectors would do the same. Then Gyro discovered the Twilightzone blog and began uploading his CD comps for everyone. I was fine with it until other parties began to abscond with the songs and use them for their "gotta pay for 'em" CD comps.

Gyro did not start collecting garage 45s until I gave him my old cassettes in the mid 1990s; I'd record all my 45s in alphabetical order. Once he was exposed to obscurities, he went into hardcore buying mode.
After spending something like 8 grand on only four 45s at an Allentown Record show ten years ago, he realized he couldn't collect anymore and just quit buying original 45s cold turkey. He still buys every compilation and collector reissues, but he doesn't buy original pressings anymore.
He built up an excellent collection, however, not all those 45s on his comps are in his own 45 collection.
