The Official Quantity Find list

Snails - Snail's Love Theme
Tim hade some copies of that for sale in the early 90s.

Rats - The Rat's Revenge
Another 45 Tim hade some copies of back then.
Wasn't there a big find on the Cha-Cha label (End, Cardinals....) in the 80s?

What about Sir Winston & The Commons - We're Gonns Love.
Wasn't here a find in the early 90s?
I picked up a copy from Tracks On Wax back then.

There were probably 100+ copies of "I Want you" by the Cardinals
"Hatchet Face" was never found in any quantity that I'm aware of.
The End used to turn up as single copies every so often.

Tim did have a couple of boxes of Rats Revenge, 50+?

Yeah, the mailorder dealer guy called Florida Rocks (Patrick E.) had the 4th Amendment multiples. Since every dealer had M- copies it was at least 50, if not more.
Ditto for the Alan Franklin Explosion "Piece Of your Love" / "Bye Bye Baby"

When I think about the Cha-Cha label, a name is popping up in my head - Mark Lee in L.A.

Updated.

Not sure about Sir Winston & the Commons. But was around in M- for awhile, that's true. Remember gawking at the prices it fetched at some point.

If bought at Tracks on Wax there probably was a find, because several finds on the list worked their way to Sweden in the early 90s. I had several titles bought from a friend that she again picked up in Sweden (I forget where) back then.

Updated.

I've been trying to search for old Loos Foos auctions but it is impossible. Surely I wasn't the only one on this here forum to pick this up in unplayed condition for prices evening out at $50 in the late 2000s?

I've just checked my old notes and I paid $50 for Loos Foos in February 2007 from an Ebay Buy It Now sale.

Seller: chaser5 from Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Yes! That's him. Thank you very much, I'll contact him for the story

2 quantity finds that I know of (not yet mentioned) are ;

Dirty Wurds - Why - 2 x 25 count boxes found by Jules Normington in the early '80s
Nuchez - Open Up Your Mind (Rembrandt) - 3 boxes found in the same haul

All the copies of both records ended up in Sydney and were sold at Phantom Records, and sometimes they still show up here. I've had 4 Dirty Wurds over the years, all originating from Jules' stash.

Mister Hoss, I bought a VG+ copy of "The Black Diamonds" I Want, Need, Love You" off Jules in 2004. Small world??

Sure is Stampy. Jules has been selling '60s garage and Stooges/MC5 type stuff since he worked in Ripple Records in the Angel Arcade, in 1974. Then at Revolver, then at Phantom. He's still actively involved and will be selling the remainder of George Crotty's collection on eBay sometime in the near future. So it's likely you'll bump into him again sometime soon.

I remember speaking to Jules at Ripple around 1976. I was buying some awful prog record called "An Electric Storm in Hell" & he was desperately trying to get me to buy a Buzzcocks LP instead. Wish I'd listened to him.

Updated!

Re: the Loos Foos, the seller never replied to my email about how he aquired them so I guess that story is lost in space for the time being.

Added the Malibus on Planet, the formerly elusive blue stock copy. Erik L seems to have quite a few of these in M- condition.

Have we ever done an official bootleg/repro garage 45 list? That would be most helpful. I seem to remember one, but it may have been on an earlier forum. Anyway, I would be interested to start one...
