I contacted Jay Manning from the Raunch several months ago.
I talked with him about 3 acetates by the band that were sold on Ebay featuring an alternate version of "I Say You're Wrong", the released version of "A Little While Back" plus 4 unreleased tracks. (see here: https://www.popsike.com/Raunch-Inc-...te-set-6-songs-5-unreleased/285385481750.html)
Jay told me these were tracks from their first recording sessions that led to the release of their 45 on Bazaar.
But he also told me they recorded a 10-song LP acetate in 1967, just before he went in the army. Those 10 songs haven't been heard since, Jay's copy was stolen when he was stationed in Alaska, and Frank Taxiera and Sandy Katz seem to have lost their copy as well.
Jay and Frank would love to hear the songs from the 3 acetates, so if someone on the forum owns them it would be much appreciated!
Also, Jay and Frank failed to contact Sandy in the past few months. All 3 were contacted by Break-A-Way in 2015 for the 5-song mini LP but they haven't been in contact recently and Jay doubts he's still alive. Does anyone have news from him? Thanks!
