The Sky Is Black

Yeah, there's been a lot of pants-peeing with you guys. A lot of panting too, but into the free air.
The worst thing is that I can't d-load the sucker for another 8 hours!
I don't even have time to read this thread properly!
2012 will be the year I return once more to the greener pastures of Sixties Garage Punk, after years of roaming the seven seas of Soul, Funk, Doo-Wop, Punk, Rockabilly, Blues and Metal.

And who is the Lighthouse casting it's beacon of light through mist, over the dark merciless waters of Misguided Musical Taste, guiding me to Sonic Safety?
Who is waving his arms, calling me, showing me the safe way to the shores of Primitive Bliss?
And who greets me in the Haven of Mayhem, with a mighty pat on my shoulder and a firm handshake, smiling, calming me with a soft but throaty voice telling me:
The Man: "Welcome home."

Me: "I've been gone so long..I..I don't know if...I still belong here...the things I've done...the things I have listened to.."

The Man: "You have always been here before. You never really left."

And I am saved for the third time.

OH FUUUCK.....AAARGH.... (Apollo's Never Again playing in the background) HOOOOO, THIS IS SOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! Oh my SHIT!

WORK IT OUUUUUT!!! The Savoys.. I've been on a pretty steady Teen Beat Diet for years and thought I had tasted pretty much all the things on the buffé. Then, from nowhere, a rabbit with glasses rammed this peace of teenage testosterone down my throat. I up, with my pupils dilated, my back hurtin', spilling my fine glass of Slottskällans Roslager and shuffled around the floor like an alzeimer-stricken retired pro-boxer. I was cookin', I was smokin - I was workin' it. I even did a little steppin during the drumbreak (kinda like Sly Stone on Woodstock).
There's so much good things with this track - actually too many good things. The singer sounds like a teenage Alan Vega in a good mood with his head in the gutter, the band is funky like I've never heard a garage band funk before. This is so fuckin' awesome...

I had to take a pause due to stress related tremors. I kid you not. I mean, I'm serious. I burnt out a year ago and have been kinda sick. The Orlyn CD-set is NOT what the doctor ordered.

I will need a week to absorb this. To me, this is even more beautiful than the Fenton CD-pack. I love all the songs. I'll come back later with more opinions and shit but right now I'm overwhelmed.
One thing I can say - I totally adored the beautiful Sunset by the Graf Zepplin bunch.

Great to hear how enthusiastic you are, about the Orlyn sounds, Mr. de Parade! Tremors are not harmful, especially when induced by directly ingesting large doses of killer '60s garage music.

That would be great, pfft! Sleeveless CD-Rs are prone to getting lost around here. (even though I guess it wont happen with the Orlyn disc for the next few months.)
