just cracked this beauty open. Thanks so much Mark for spending so much time on this, the mastering must have been arduous to say the least.what headphones were you using?
need some to absorb this muther!
there is no reason why this couldn`t make the grade for a vinyl release.some of the acetate transfers were less than perfect for the Norton series.

I use Dr. Dre headphones. Recently upgraded to Detox model (sound is amazing but unfortunately even mineral turps will not remove the Detox logo), but the Orlyn set was mastered using the original Dr. Dre model which is active (ie needs batteries).
Having just earned my membership in the Society yesterday I am first downloading this fine fine superfine collection at this very moment. Reading through the posts however I have a question of ettiquette or interpretation of the rules.
I do a one hour monthly show on an internet oldies radio station. My show is a mixed bag of styles but I do feature a lot of garage as it is one of my all-time favorite genres of music. Most people listen to the show once and then move on but technically, it is downloadable. I certainly have no problem giving credit where it is due when I play things but is it considered a violation of our promise to even play anything I have acquired via the Secret Society? I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
Well, I've finally gotten around to downloading the tracks from this comp. I haven't heard many of these before, and I can't wait. Thank you, BossHoss, for making these available to us.
I would have included "Love You Baby" on Disc 1, if it had fit. Unfortunately I had to trim it off because I could only squeeze 31 tracks onto Disc 1. But it deserves to be there and is the best track on Disc 2, closely followed by The Paniks "Can't you See".
