Just thought you guys would like to know I posted a story on The Twilighters (Nothing Can Bring Me Down) on my TX music blog.
I wish it was just a little more in depth, but that was about all I could get out of these guys.
Sound clips should be going up in the next few days.
Hopefully this will be the start of a more regular updating process!

Great story!

I got the same photo as in TBM, though I think that it's not the same as in the article. Nice though.

Hey Jason,
Were you ever able to find the guys in Pandora's Box or the Shapes Of Things?
Looking forward to the Mark VII comp, the label ranks right up there with the best of 'em!

Mike,

I did find all the members of Pandora's Box and Shape Of Things... Ill be posting stories on them as well.
Pandora's Box were a super popular group in the area and probably got the most airplay on their single.
Shape Of Things however, were a small town group who probably used more copies of their 45 as skeet than were even given away.

The only group that is still somewhat of a mystery is The Roks. I was able to (by chance) locate one of the living members while visiting with some of the guys from the Knights Bridge Quintet at a Waco area bar. We started talking about Mark VII and their buddies face lit up and he said, "I recorded there!"
Unfortunately, he literally couldnt remember his band mates names and didn't have any ephemera. I think he partied a little harder than the rest in those days. The featured vocalist listed on the label has been deceased for years.

Im hoping the Mark VII compilation will be released sometime this upcoming spring. Its been delayed a few times due to a number of complications. Im sure some of you know how hard it can be to license material and locate master sources from close to a dozen different groups.
I think I may have mentioned this here on the earlier forum, but I spoke with relatives of the (now deceased) label owner... Apparently the master tapes were all lost in a storage unit flood. So mastering straight from vinyl is the only option.
