I can't quite understand this post... are these top 5 records that we own??? or in general?
the list below, are of 45s I consider two-siders, which I own, which I play a lot, which are rooted in the US 60s garage sound.
I could also make separate lists for my UK, Euro and Australian 45s.
Anyway these are my current American garage favourite double-siders which I own.... if I did a list of all time favourites, these would probably be in the top 20 too, however it'd mostly consist of records I simply don't have the money to afford or haven't managed to purchase yet.
1) The Squires - Going All The Way b/w Go Ahead (sadly I have the badly mastered east coast promo press, its near mint and still sounds bad)
2) The Elite - My Confusion b/w I'll Come to You (everything great about 60s garage, killer two-sider)
3) The Lykes of Us - Tell Me Why Your Light Shines b/w 7.30 Said ( I simply dig this 45, both sides are brilliant)
4) The Cutaways - I'll Never Fall In Love Again b/w Hold Me (this is my opinion of pristine teen frustration in one 45)
5) The Church Mice - Babe We're Not Part of Society b/w College Psychology On Love (one of the truest punk moments of the 1960s)
