Hello moptops, been a while but I'm sure it's all moppermost of the poppermost with y'all.

I am in big need of issue #6 of Beverly Paterson's Twist & Shake fanzine--or more precisely, I need the Baroques interview found within. A scan of this interview would thus suffice, but I don't mind paying for the zine if that is the deal. No copies on the net, and Beverly has none left, not even a private copy.

Who has Twist & Shake #6?

In return I have now uploaded a long-promised and sporadically requested interview from another zine, namely Ron Rimsite's dynamite chat with Craig Moore of Gonn. This is one of the best interviews I have ever read, and it precedes all the other pieces on Gonn. Lots more action from the 99th Floor here:

But who has Twist & Shake #6?

Haven't you heard? The Eternal Now is cryogenically frozen into a snapshot of the past. In other words, it is no longer updated. It was at least 18 months ago that I relocated my internet rants, as follows:

- Acid Archives Updates blog ('60s-70s music, including lots of groups and records not actually featured in the AA books, like a recent study of different Seeds 1st LP pressings)
http://www.lysergia.com/blog

- Psychedelia blog (psychedelic culture; an extension of my new book "Psychedelia")
http://www.lysergia.com/psychedelia/

- Reflections Of The Third Eye blog (just started; features movie reviews and comments)
http://www.lysergia.com/reflections/

I have also caved in and signed up with Dork City aka Facebook, which is a lousy place for archival/research purposes, but allows for quick connections to old heads and agoraphobic collectors.

But this is all of little significance compared to that one overwhelming question: Who has Twist & Shake #6?

thanx Patrick for the update, I have indeed missed the info. Now, I still wonder how you find enough time for that all, incl. the next book you're probably already working on !

Well Sylvain, fortunate circumstances, some of my own doing, have created a situation where I don't need to hold a full-time job anymore... and the hours thus released for fun and games is indeed mostly spent on Lysergia.com matters. By the way, your post inspired me to write a formal note at the Eternal Now page explaining the same things that I just wrote above.

But the question of who, really, owns Twist & Shake #6 is nowhere nearer its resolution.

Lama - I sent the scans to your Gmail account. Let me know if you didn't receive them...

Got 'em Mike--exactly what I needed. A good interview job by Beverly too, covering all the basic ground. It's odd how almost nothing has been written about this group; the first psychedelic band in all the Midwest.

I owe you one for the future--thanks!

I also have an article from the underground rag the Millwaukee Bugle-American from sometime in 75 or 76 that includes a lot of interview stuff with the Baroques and local rivals the Velvet Whip, but i`m notoriously useless and unreliable so i`m not sure why I mention it! I`m moving soon, if it pops up maybe i`ll try and scan it. There`s a website called Millwaukeerockposters that has some great Baroques fliers...
