Underground Buttons

I don't think bootleggers or those who go the freebie recycle route via youtube, blogs, will care about correcting the label scans.

Great to finally hear these!
I like them equally, the flipside is a shade better than the a side but not by enough to elevate my rating to the next numeric level.

5/5

5/5 is equivalent to Shutt's ** out of ****.
Ladies and gentlemen...we have consensus!

Actually, a 5 is not average in the world of TBM. Average is closer to a 4 out of 10.
The appropriate Shutt / Hanners conversion factor would yield a **1/2 rating

Agreed. It's definitely not as 'average' as, say, The Dimensions Of Refugio singles.
I'd seek out a copy of The Underground Buttons if a small quantity turned up.

Great to hear this ultimate mystery disc at last. Not very good, though -- off key "ESL" vocals, bland lyrics, lame mixing on A-side; no bridge or guitar break on B-side.

Just listened to this again tonight with a fine Japanese imported beer under the belt. It's definitely a 5 if not a 6. Love it!

Locale confirmed and they were from Port Isabel. Family band essentially and it was recorded in 1968
Found them, but I wont expect answers any time soon.
