UNKNOWN NEW ORLEANS GARAGE 45 JIM JOY JAZZTOWN PRODUCTION (DR. SPEC'S) INFERNO 102 THE REAL BOBBY RE

Not bad... Not great. I'd give it a 4. Mostly hampered by the square vocals. Bosshoss' price estimate sounds about right, but I wouldn't doubt if a regional collector or two would be willing to pay 2-3 times that.

Bobby Reno was a New Orleans DJ. I got to know him fairly well when I lived down there and that is definitely HIM on that record as I recognize the voice. Mac Rebbenack (AKA Dr. John) put out a record using the name Bobby Reno & The Infurnos (I Been Hoo-dood on Pitassy) so perhaps he was trying to differentiate between that record and his, and/or copying "The Real Don Steele" as Mike said. "The Frog" could probably be a DJ spin but it's no Dr. Spec as far as desirability going by just the sound, although it might be an interesting footnote.

Crying in a storm, I like. I rate it 4.8
The Frog is not my style, and I rate it 3.2.
If it wasn't for the skip, I would probably pay what bosshoss values it at to own it.
Thanks for sharing this, CCR.
