A slightly easier task.

Could it be The Reasons Why and their wordheavy fuzzbomb All I Really Need Is Love (and a solo as psychedelic a solo on a BFTG-track gets) b/w the moody, doomy, smoky Zombie-ish Nighttime-Daytime and its frisky hithat and awesome string-pickin desperado-solo?

Or will it be the pseudopsychotic panoramic paranoia portrayed in The Illusions City Of People (how high IS that guitar? pumped up to...2? 3, tops) b/w the sunburned, sand-in-my-ass, longing of Wait Till The Summer (geez, the guitar is still as low as on the last song!)

Maybe another BFTG-classic? Both sides appears on different volumes. I'm talking about the almighty KEGGS! That'd be my first choice. But to be a little more unpredictable imma gonna go forrrrr.......

SOUND BARRIER - (My) Baby's Gone b/w Hey Hey

Obnoxious white-lighty fart-noise in the beginning, hot drums from the git-go, enter snotty teen-vox, cool choir drenched in reverb, taunting organ, ass-tight guitar/bass till they hit the crashing refrain "She's gooo-oooo-oooone!".
The bridge is pure bliss.
The guitsolo is fuzztastic.

Turn the 45 and find more coolness. First an I-don't-give-a-rat's-ass intro on the guitar, followed by a crashing tambourine (first of MANY). Some cool studio trickeries on the refrain (hey-hey-ey-ey-ey-ey). And this time the guitar get's a chance to SHINE on the cooler-than-ice solo.

A thing that strikes me is how MAJESTIC these songs are even though there are no over-dubs or loud volume.

Totally representative for the 60s garage scene.

What is your pick?

I'll go for an easy one to find but it'll keep me dancing forever.

Mark Markham and his Jesters - Marlboro Country / I Don't Need You. That organ so off key that bass so groovy the call response vocals, that slipsy slidey guitar lead... can't write no more gotta get up and dance.

Talking about GaragePsych, The Es Shades - Anyday, Anywhere / Without My Love is my option.

Ooooooooooooooooh, GARAGEPSYCH!!! :)

I LOVE Es Shades, incredible! Another 2-sided THRILLER is the ever-so-classic Optical Sound b/w Calm Me Down by The Human Expression. Makes mah mouth water.

Another double-faced MASSACRE OF THE MIND is the PURE HORROR of Mystic Tide's Frustration (as some know, I cried first time I heard it. And I never cry) b/w the psychotic vortex of Psychedelic Journey Pt. 1.
You do NOT want to be on a bad trip while listening to that, I tell ya!

And last but NOT least is the schizoid juggernaut sonic meltdown BRUTALITY of the Perpetual Motion Workshop!
Infiltrate Your Mind is somewhat of a sonic ear-rape with spindly staircases of mean fuzz guitar and a filthy hippy drooling down your face while force-feeding you with tabs and shitting words down your ears and at the same time abusing you with a tambourine.
Won't Come Down is even more fun-time after the party was long over. Plusses for the frantic harmonica.
The poor drummer goes haywire on the drums and you STILL can't hear it through the mayhem!
