Up the ante - THE BEST TWO-SIDER!

Mods - I Give You An Inch... / You've Got Another Think Coming
I got to know only recently that this is a two-sider. Wanted to post it here, because I think it's absolutely amazing. Beyond cool. But I wouldn't have thought it rates highly among the cognoscenti.

I also wanted to mention "Speak Of The Devil" in the "best ever"- section, but I had already mentioned too many. And then it's almost a little too weird to be considered a classic. Whatever- it's a killer. Didn't know it was on one 45 together with "Sweet Gina". Killer.

The Mods was the first really rare 45 I ever bought. It was a special order I made with the former uber-collector Mr Doug White. He was on his way to a US record fair (maybe it was Allentown or The Austin Record Convention). I had been buying some $10-$50 records from him, since he was refining his collection down to killers-only material. I didn't own anything really rare at that time. He asked me if I wanted him to pick up anything special for my collection at the fair. So I just mentioned what I thought was the most outlandish, impossible, incredible 45 2-sider I could ever imagine. The Mods on Peck. Within 3 days, he had a vg++ copy for me, which I still have in my collection. That was way before the quantity find of about 5 or 6 years ago.

Hands down the best two-sider for me is Pittsfield Illinois finest

The Intruders - She's Mine b/w Now That You Know.

the best parts of both Fuzzed out Garage and Moody Jangler completed in an absolute killer pic sleeve of the group too.

SURELY this ranks as one of the greatest two-siders?

One of my most fave 60s 45 is Impressin by the Kreeg , on the flipside is the equally great How Can I .
If I was to pick a non us winner how about the 2nd Misunderstood 45 or the 1st one for that matter .

The UK release has Road Block on the other side - a serious double sider !
The US release ( as the Wheel-A-Ways ) has Don't You Know as the flip .
I prefer the slower , more intense version of Bad Little Woman that was released in the US

The Spades - You're Gonna Miss Me / We Sell Soul

So much cool stuff with this disc. Released '65, killer-looking label for starters. Then we have primitive version of You're Gonna Miss Me, and the storming psychotic We Sell Soul.
