USA Bunker Box A

A fun view! Never managed to download more than 664 mb or something, but a fun time was had by all. Looking forward to the rest of the alphabet! :boggle:

My girlfriend took a look at what I was watching & mumbled something. I heard the word "nerd" being uttered and she gave me the same look as she'd given me the time I mentioned I used to play Advanced D & D when I was young. HoHo.

I see you have ditched poly sleeves as well. I'm considering doing the same, but some darling 45s have labels that are very fragile re: fingerprints. I am at a loss as to what to do. Especially as I like to pimp my records with as much protective stuff as possible. It looks nice.

Great video!

You can upload unlimited length/size videos to youtube if you verify your account:

That's interesting. I am not impressed with Vimeo so far. After uploading the 800mb file which took 3 hours, Vimeo has been "converting" it ever since, for the last 8 hours. Every time it finishes "converting", it just starts "converting" all over again. Sheesh! :screwy:

I spoke too soon...it's finally finished!

Maybe she doesn't fully understand that girlfriends are much less essential than '60s garage 45s. :)

for PS and other fragile labels, I only use the mylar sleeves from Bags Unlimited. There is no haze, or opacity. no chemicals as found in the regular/standard, cheap polyethelene sleeves which break down with light and air over time and cause discoloration to labels, pic sleeves, etc. They are pricey (about $1.00 per sleeve)

Check it out on their website

Thanks Mike, I've tried ordering from them previously. They are not very good at giving shipping rates or in fact answering me at all. But I will probably have to bite the bullett and ask again. No alternative in Europe.

immensely enjoyable. best documentary indeed! of course only own about 15 of these Actioneers, Als Dynamics, Advantes ,Alliance w/sleeve,Apostles, Ambertones, Appoloes.. you should check out the flip to The Apostles Mark, `Tomorrow` great moody one!

I haven`t seen degradation with the plastic sleeves i`ve been using.I usually replace them if they start getting grubby. can anyone post a definitive article that documents how this is bad news for vinyl?

These are the kinda chicks which are the reason why garage band 45s even exist ; ) (aside of course from The Beatles on Ed Sullivan)

Mark... how much would one pay for Apolloes - Laugh in My face, I have their other 45, but have wanted laugh in my face for years.

Here's what I have used for the past 25 years with never a problem, aside from the adhesive occasionally tearing off the sleeve.

Regarding the video I have only had time to watch it halfway through, all the way to AM. Had me on the edge of my seat till the great denouement when the Migliore finally made it's appearance.:sunny:

I haven't ditched the sleeves. I just removed them from the one box before making the video, so that the labels would show up clearer in the video. I still like the zip seal bags that I use. It makes the records completely impervious to damage by accident, mould, scuffing etc. Once the bag is sealed in the plastic bag with its protective cardboard cover, you can literally throw the records across the room without any risk of damage. I do that when I get bored with looking at them/playing them.

Hey Mark,
Thoroughly enjoyed that--very cool. Hope this will be a continuing series--lol.
It will be a 75 part miniseries. Each one hour in length. I may have to hire actors to play my part so that I can concentrate on the directing and producing, cinematography, screenwriting, post-production etc.

wow!, great listening Mark, and what a collection! great to see some of these 45's in action

any chance of an Aussie 45 show one day too please?

I'm not sure Paul, but I could guess at $400. The reason I'm not so sure is because I've forgotten what I paid for it, and whether it was a quantity find or not. If I remember correctly, it might have been the first 45 I ever bought from Joey D, and he may have had quantity. Maybe Joey can remember better than I can.

Can't remember if I sold you that one or not but If I did it would have been my only copy. I know that MADD INC. was an early 45 that I sold you. If not the first.

Just belatedly came across this video - remarkable. You have a very good ear for garage, Mark, therefore I was surprised not to see the Aggregation 45. Well, that video is over a year old, so maybe you have it now...

I was unaware of this posting as well. Home connection is rather slow, but something like this... is worth taking the laptop over to the local coffee shop (that has high speed connection).
As with your previous contributions, it's quite obvious that you put a lot of time and effort into everything you do. This will be tomorrow's highlight for sure - Thanks!

I forgot about this. I would like to do some other videos, but it's very hard for me to do anything right now. Anyone who has been a carer for a family member with dementia will know what I'm talking about. I'm being called right now, for example...
