What's in a name

How bout
"what's happening TODAY in the 60s garage world..."
or something like this, instead of
"What's happening LIVE in your town, or on YouTube?"
for inclusion of 45s, albums, videos etc. by new (or re-united) bands?

Hi Tom, welcome to the new forum.

You may have been asked this question before, the old forums have their search function limitations, but do you remember/know how many copies were pressed of your 2 45s?

Hey, my man Mr. Segment. Cool. As for your question, I can only attest to be pretty sure, at this point in time. But, we had at least 500 pressed of each. But, I do remember having to order another batch. Which, I believe, came by lots of 500 packeged in boxes that held maybe 250 each in sleeves. But, I think we only had to order more of the 2nd record. If my memory is right, we only had 500 total of the "Little Boy Blue " 45, and (maybe) 1000 of the 2nd record with "The Easy Way Out" on it. I'll think about this a bit nd I'll talk to Tonto and see what he remembers. I'm curious now.

Thank you soundog. It was a wonderful and unique period of time that needs to be remembered and shared expecially with people who love music and the 60's era. Thing is, my memory isn't as sharp as it once was. Funny how some things get fuzzy while others are crystal clear.

And, Mr. Segment, I spoke with Terry and all he can recall for sure is that we had 500 of each 45 pressed. But, I still believe we had a second 500 pressed of the "Anytime You Want Some Lovin'/The Easy Way Out" 45.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the info! Memory certainly goes downhill as life progresses. I was involved in a 45 released perhaps 8-9 years ago and can't even remember a) the year/date it was released and b) certainly not how many copies were made. Frightening.

I suppose if we had have pressed a million copies, they wouldn't be worth shit. Even as it is, the Little Boy Blue 45 sells for $100's more than the 2nd 45. Which, personally, I like much better. Plus, it was written, produced and played on by Dick Wagner. Seems to me that would make the 2nd 45 a rarity in itself. Oh well, who can figure out record collectors anyway.

Hey Tom, you are the only guy from an original band that has stuck it out and has stayed in touch, that is super cool! Oh I will trade you a copy of your second 45 for the first one since you like it better! ;)

Hi Freddy. Where else would I go or what else would I do. I "stick" around because music is what I do and always have. The 60's were a great part of a long musical career. And, I like to talk about something I love. Besides, most everyone tries to remember really good times, and the 60's were a really good time. Plus, how would some of you ever know what it was like if people who had the actual experience of living it didn't speak about it, both the good and the bad. These boards are home to some of the most knowledgable people on the topic of 60's Rock and Roll I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mike's upcoming book is the most complete document ever compilied with regard to 60's Rock and the sub-genre "Garage'. But, facts all alone leave me cold because they themselves lack the personal aspect of any subject. And, you all strive for more than just facts and statistics, you also look for the story behind those facts that give them life and personality. And, one last thing, that give them accuracy, not assumption or speculation.
