Tell me about it! What's the deal with all those pictures of coffe cups and glasses of red wine? Extremely annoying. I actually had to block a "friend" because of this - it was out of control.

There is a difference between Facebook and G45. On Facebook it's mostly Narcissistic , on G45 it's more about giving/sharing.

I'm on Facebook and have a love/hate relationship to it. I used to also use it as an upload facility for pictures so I could link to them, here on g45 as well, but it seems they've changed html codes lately and now a lot of my old posts are without pictures. Sorry about that!

I find Facebook usefull for keeping up with club nights/concerts/re-issues etc. And for posting a silly amount of private pictures. Which I ought to stop doing.

And yes, the local weatherforecast: -11 and some snow. Looking at -16 for tomorrow. Yihaa! Need some wine for medication. I will promise to post pictures of it pfft!

My son's school sends out information via Facebook, so I registered under my cat's name so we could access the school page. I haven't posted anything, and have no intention to start.

-10 celcius here in SW Ontario Canada with 75 km winds. It's fucking cold today! Mind you it's been raining all winter until a week ago which is weird weather for us. I could have been driving my model T ford on New Years Day.

The only reason I have a cell phone is to keep track of my teenagers and to bail me out if I have a breakdown in an old car.
Facebook has it's good points, I hate all the apps and having them shoved in my face all the time. The only funny one I've noticed but never participated in is "Pot Farm".:confused:

I had to create a personal account to have band pages; it works quite well and it's way better than myspace to promote music ; on a personal level, I try to stick to one rule: only add as "friend" people I met in flesh&bones

Well, Facebook is just a tool, right? I use it to get news posts on releases from some of may fave labels. That's what I like. Other people use it to show me pictures of their supper. That's what I don't like.

For me, it's mostly just scrolling past posts that I only marginally care about from people on the other side of the world. Occasionally I'll see some great and/or funny things posted. That's what keeps me coming back to check it every few days.

My phone, on the other hand......I love that thing. Actually, the phone part of it is probably what I use the least. I rarely even use my laptop any more.
