    Unclaimed Freight (Flint)

Unclaimed Freight was a project of Oliver William Tuthill who wrote the Northern Soul anthem "I Don't Like To Lose" (sung by Cecil Washington and released on Prophonics). Forumites might know Oliver better from his one-off garage psych outfit Inferno and their lone 45 on Plastik. I interviewed...

    The '60s garage autograph thread

Suppose this is Stoics guitarist William Ash's signature, I'm glad he didnt sign on the much prefered b-side.

Armand must have enjoyed singning sleeves immensely, not just w/ the Churchmice:

    The '60s garage autograph thread

Not fond of signed labels, but a sleeve signed by the producer of a genuine ***** killer is a nice bonus

    GERMS. MIA (Complete Anthology) (1977-1980)

Mustn't forget LA's Wire: the Urinals. Three perfect short and sharp 45s.

    GERMS. MIA (Complete Anthology) (1977-1980)

Not getting into a "better than" debate. Darby's snottiness and the Germs chaotic energy ruled - as did a vast number of small LA bands at the same time (Cheifs, Randoms, Dils, Child Molesters, Avengers, ... ) A great scene.

    The Mystic Tide

"a while ago" as in: 30+ years, yes. And that RE has become scarce in itself.

    HUMAN INSTINCT (1966-1971)

A tipsy miss on the map? Human Instinct were from New Zealand not Australia. Had that 3xLP box RE in the 90s but didn't "get" it at the time. Maybe a lubricated re-evaluation is in order...

FREDERICK LEE COLE. 1968-1978. Any takers?

Fred was the greatest. The king of DIY. Fixing everything from mono lathecuts, to amps to van engines. And who would run a marathon at 60 - and finish it off with a cigarette? There's no band I saw more often than Dead Moon and each one of these 20+ shows turned into a near-religious experience...

Sounds of Time on English records PS?

Thanks for the reply Jason, good to hear you confirm the "new" look of the sleeves. Yet doubts remain. The sleeve-construction is hard to photograph. Front and back are one sheet, folded at the bottom, the front has two 1cm flaps left and right that were folded back and the back side glued onto...
